Most shops will tell you that you need a new steering rack but 99% of the time it’s these bushings which are easy to change. Please properly inspect your steering before you go out and spend bucks on a new rack. Failed rubbers cause the steering ram to slide from side to side so if you find your steering wheel is angled at different angles for the same vehicle direction/tyre direction, then check if these have worn. Original stering rack pinion bushings were always damaged by leaking oil, so make sure you clean the area to remove oil and solve the leak!
